Dance for schools (IFP). We can provide this service at your school or alternatively your students can subscribe to courses offered at our training base in Nottingham. We also offer this option in Applied GCSE in Performing Arts and National Diploma.

For students interested in Dance and Technical Theatre (Dance) this could be the course for you. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to work as a dancer with a professional performance company working on a range of dance styles or learn about the lighting and technical theatre requirements specific to dance, we can offer you this opportunity, with a qualification to match. Previous experience either in a youth dance company or dance school organisation would be a advantage.

You will need to apply via your school to New English Contemporary Ballet.

You will have the chnance to study programmes encompassing all aspects of performance (dance), lighting and technical theatre specific to the industry. Your work will include dance, fitness, anatomy and physiology modules, underpinned by ballet, contemporary and jazz dance techniques. You will gain an understanding of what happens behind the scenes in a theatre including stage design, lighting and technical staging. On completion of the course you will receive a NCFE Level 1 or Level 2 qualification.

Level 1 is equal to 2 GCSEs grades D-G.
Level 2 is equal to 2 GCSEs grades A-C.
