New English Contemporary Ballet will launch a foundation Degree programme in 2009 and will run along side the National Diploma. The two-year course will be open to students aged 16+ who will benefit from full time training with NECBs experienced education team, dancers and guest artists.

Students will have the option to complete a third year with NECB to gain a full BA(Hons) degree,(Degree programmes subject to validation).

There are two pathways available

Foundation Degree (Dance) Jazz & Musical Theatre

This course is ideal for those students who wish to pursue a performance career in jazz dance, musical theatre and related genres. The training will encourage and develop individual's technique, versatility and performance as well as develop a wider industry based understanding. The programme consists of practical and theoretical modules including:

Ballet Technique
Jazz Technique Dance
Contemporary Technique
Other modules include, Singing, Drama, Technical Theatre and Contextual Studies.

Foundation Degree (Dance) Contemporary Ballet

This course is ideal for those students who wish to pursue a performance career in contemporary ballet or related genres. The training will encourage and develop individual's technique, creativity and performance as well as develop a kinaesthetic intelligence and understanding of dance as an art form. The programme consists of practical and theoretical modules including:

Ballet Technique
Contemporary Technique
Jazz Technique Dance
Other modules include Choreography, Technical Theatre and Contextual Studies.
